StageScreen® the only projection screen in the AV Awards 2012

We are delighted to announce that the Draper® StageScreen® is a finalist in the AV Awards 2012 in the category "AV accessory of the year". Worth to note is that StageScreen® is the only projection screen in all categories nominated to this year’s award.

Some of the criteria the judges have been looking for are commitment to the future development of AV communications, achievements that benefit AV sector clients and users, and evidence of technical innovation and creative solutions to communication problems. StageScreen®, originally developed and designed in response to requests from the leading AV hire market, evidently meets these high criteria.

The StageScreen® is a totally new concept in projection screen design. The truss system is completely modular and generates a portable screen which may be freestanding or flown. All sizes of StageScreen® are built from combinations of the same 6 standard color-coded frame sections, which mean that users can reduce inventory, replace parts quickly and easily, and increase their return on investment. The StageScreen® utilizes 20cm trusses which are quickly assembled without any risky hinges. The screen surface is easily attached with DuraLoop™ bungee cord loops instead of traditionally snaps. The StageScreen®, available in sizes as large as up to 18 meter in width, can be assembled in about half the time of a comparable truss folding screen. It is the strongest and most rigid screen on the market and is engineered to hold tolerance after repeated usage.

The winners of the AV Awards will be announced at the yearly gala ceremony in London the 12 of October.
